Welcome!— I want you to meet someone-YOU

Welcome!— I want you to meet someone-YOU

Before you start checking yourself in the mirror, I’m not talking about the got-it-all-together YOU who hides your insecurities, failures, and that secret stash of junk food in your bathroom drawer. (I’ve got Milk Duds in mine.) I’m not talking about the chameleon YOU who instinctively changes to match the thoughts, feelings, and expectations of those around you. (Because it’s always nicer when people like you.) And I’m certainly not talking about the depleted YOU who’s sleep-deprived and brain-dead, constantly trying to catch up and desperate to make it through one more day. (If only Santa could have given us a year’s worth of naps instead of a basket of bath bombs.) But the real YOU. The authentic YOU. Your purest and best self. I want you to come face-to-face with the YOU that God imagined when He knit you together in your mother’s womb and wove particular skills, desires, and purposes into your very DNA. The naked, unashamed YOU in all your wonder and beauty that existed before you started layering on false images designed to impress, to fit in, or merely to survive.WHAT YOU’LL FIND HEREThat is the purpose of this blog: to glimpse the way God sees your soul and the beauty and potential of your design. to unearth the parts of you that have been buried alive underneath a sink full of dirty dishes, mounds of laundry, and tyranny of the urgent. to affirm your strengths and provide help for your weaknesses. to let you know that nothing is wrong with you, and why you have different needs than others. to eliminate jealousy and comparison in the world of women to allow you to have ultimate impact in your family, workplace and community by stewarding your unique personality type. Each week I hope to introduce YOU to a new aspect of your authentic self, so that you can fully display the beauty and character of God that we all desperately need to see and know. “You are a specific part of his (God’s) reflection, the missing piece that brings a unique perspective and hope to the world. There is no one like you, which means there is something you can do that no one else can do…When you are not you, we all miss out on knowing God better, because you reflect his image in a unique and beautiful way!” Caroline Leaf, The Perfect You
